Welcome back Giraffes
Giraffes have settled in brilliantly into year 3/4 and are already working hard.
The children have made a great start to the new year and have already produced some excellent work. In our topic Creeping through Caves we are studying the Stone Age through to the Bronze Age. The children have created a timeline and begun to analyse primary and secondary sources to discover more about this exciting period of history.
They have had some great discussions and asked thoughtful questions to support their learning. Most of them agreed that if they lived during the Stone Age, being able to go hunting for their food would be the best part!
As you can see from the work pictured above, they are taking great pride in their work, which looks fantastic.
The children are also showing great enthusiasm in our maths lessons and have an excellent understanding of place value. They are all keen to complete all the maths challenges in each lesson.
After a very positive start to the new year, I am excited to watch your children continue to progress over the coming months. I hope they have enjoyed the beginning of term as much as I have.
