Giraffes have had an excellent transition week so far. They have settled in well and have already produced some excellent work.

In writing we have read Yours sincerely, Giraffe, a lovely story about a lonely, bored giraffe who decides to write a letter. We were inspired by this to write our own letter to 'whoever you are, on the other side of the horizon.' All the children have impressed me with their incredible writing this week.

The children have also been busy creating giraffes for our welcome board and took great care in colouring their giraffes. Some children decided to choose the expected colours, whilst others, inspired by some artwork we looked at, chose something different. They all look amazing, and the classroom looks great.
