Stone Age day
Here are just some of the amazing paintings the children made.
Before they set off, we spoke about how we thought the Stone age people painted on cave walls. The children had some great ideas and we decided that, amongst other things, mud would be a good material to use. We made our own paintbrushes out of sticks and leaves, just like real hunter-gatherers. We then looked at how we could make the mud paint stick to a surface, the children were given some water and they had to mix the water and mud until it had a sticky consistency that they could use on the trees. Some children also painted the fence - which worked really well.
