Is all paper the same?

In our science lesson this week, we had the BIG question of: Is all paper the same? Operation science experiment!

We carried out a science experiment this week to investigate if all paper is the same. Using greaseproof paper, wrapping paper, writing paper, kitchen roll, and magazine paper, we tried to paint with water colours, draw with pencils, felt tip pens and crayons and drip water to test for absorbency. We recorded our observations and found that kitchen roll was the most absorbent, and that it was easier to write on greaseproof paper with a wax crayon. Some fantastic scientific skills being carried out!

Then we looked at different fabrics:

Our elf cookie arrived this week in class and bought us some paper chains to decorate our classroom - doesn't it look fab!
