In English we have started a story writing unit. The children will be writing their own alien story over the next few weeks. This week we explored word endings like "-er/est" and "-ful/less" to make our writing more interesesting.

We were lucky enough to have someone come in to teach us about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and how to stay safe at home. The children were very excited to receive their goody bag. We hope you have been able to make use of the carbon monoxide monitor.

We had the first round of the spelling bee today. Thank you for encouraging your child to practice spellings at home. They all did really well. We had 5 successful spellers who now go through to the next round.
