We started off the morning readying with familiar adults. It was such a lovely way to start the day.

   

We were then joined virtually by Claire Freedman, best selling author of Aliens Love Underpants. She read us her new book – Dragons Love Underpants – and introduced us to some of the characters. We also had the opportunity to ask her questions. She was asked if she could write a perfect book first time; she explained that it takes a lot of practice, and she had to keep on trying.  She also gave us three adjectives for us to try and use in our writing: giggly, funny and colourful.

We spent the rest of the morning inventing our alien and writing sentences which included expanded noun phrases.

 In the afternoon, we wrote a whole story out on the playground. We practised telling our friends it.

We rounded off the day celebrating our amazing outfits as different adjectives: magical, exotic, wild, comfy and many more!
