Poles Apart!
A fantastic first week back, getting in to the swing of our topic Poles Apart, exploring North Pole and South Pole.
Our foundation topic this week has been Geography, this has kick started our topic of Poles Apart with us learning about North Pole and South Pole, and the Kalahari desert.
In Geography we have been busy researching the different poles, including animals and wildlife, trees and plants, people, clothing, weather and human and physical features. We have worked together in groups to record our facts on to posters and next week we will put the finishing touches to these, before presenting them to each other - watch this space for (hopefully!) some video footage!
In maths this week we have been learning about teen numbers, from 11 to 19, using base 10, we have looked at tens and ones and used these to show the make up and place value of these numbers:
