Rounders Tournament

The rounders club played in a tournament in WItham this morning.

This morning 10 members of the rounders club headed over to Witham this morning to play in the North West Essex School Sport Partnership rounders tournament. It was the first time any of us had played in an actual match, so we were very excited!

The morning started off bright and we were given our match schedule for the day. We had 4 matches in our pool.

Our first match was against St Andrews and although we tried our best they beat us. We talked about how we could work together to play as a team as went into the next match ready and raring to go.

Our second match was against Holy Family and we all played extremely well and the nerves had settled and we won this match!

The weather then turned and the rain started to come down. We played our final two games in difficult conditions and unfortunately lost both of them.

It was great to have some supporters stick with us even in the rain and all the children enjoyed putting their new skills to the test even in the difficult conditions. Well played to all those who came with us, you showed excellent determination and sportsmanship.

We were slightly wet by the end of the morning!
