Welcome back to all the children returning to the Kangaroo class. Now that we have had over a week to settle in, I think all the class are back in school mode and are ready to learn and excel this year. Obviously, this is a big year for the class: their last year in primary school, last year before moving to secondary school and SATs year. Hopefully the children are all looking forward to the year ahead.

Our topic for this term is Ancient Greece, we will be looking at the legacy of the Ancient Greeks, focusing on things we still use today which originated from them. We will spend time looking at Ancient Greek myths and rewriting one and hopefully creating some DT and ART inspired by the Ancient Greeks. 

Our PE days are Thursday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor), in year 6 we encourage the children to take their PE kit home each time they use it to encourage good personal hygiene.
