On top of our regular science lesson on Monday (where we learned about classification), we had a science assembly and then this afternoon we had a whole afternoon dedicated to scientific engineering. The children first had to make and test their own paper aeroplanes to see how far they flew, mine came last, then they used gears to design a 'launcher' for their planes! They were all really engaged and we saw some great designs.
