PSHE
The Jigsaw Project
The PSHE Lead in school is Nicky Jones.
Jigsaw is a scheme for teaching Personal, Social, Health and Economic education to primary-aged children and includes all statutory Relationships and Sex Education content. It is a whole school approach with a focus on emotional literacy and building resilience. Zones of Regulation is also taught to the whole class as part of our PSHE education. This supports children to regulate their own emotions and behaviour.
The six key areas included in the comprehensive scheme of work are:
- Being me in my world
- Celebrating Difference
- Dreams and Goals
- Healthy Me
- Relationships
- Changing me
Further details of the scheme, including the Relationships and Sex Education content can be supplied if required. Please ask at the school office.
The school also use materials from the NSPCC Speak Out, Stay Safe campaign. Assemblies are held each year for Key stage 1 and 2 and classes follow up with lessons linked to the assembly content. The parent information letter regarding the assemblies can be downloaded below but will be sent to you the week before the assemblies take place each Autumn term.
