Who are we?

What is and who are the Pupil Parliament?
Pupil Parliament is composed of two groups of children: the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
The House of Commons are the children who were voted in as MPs to represent their class. They had to show dedication and responsibility by creating a poster - like a manifesto - to show the children in their constitution why they should be the representative. The older pupils also made a speech. We exercised our democratic rights and voted for our MP at the Polling Stations (Library). The votes were then counted and verified. This year's House of Commons are: Amal, Ruby, Lukas, Demi, Gracie, Kadie, Toby, Hoorain and David.
The House of Lords are our experts and pupils from last year who represented us. Much like in our British system, we can call upon them for advice.
After discussing important issues in our meetings, we will then do everything in our power to take action and persuade our monarch (Mrs Smyth) to ratify our initiatives.
