Dolphins have been getting to grips with two historical skills: chronology and learning from sources. 

We have made a timeline of Mary Anning's life. She is a palaeontologist who discovered three dinosaur fossils. The ichthyosaurus, or fish lizard, was her first when she was only young. 

We have also looked at sources to help us to learn more about the past. We decided which sources would be useful and help us with our learning and which would not. We have even been thinking about how fossils are created and even made our own!
