Maldon trip
We have had a fabulous day in Maldon today, we were so lucky with the weather!
We had a fantastic day, looking at the features of the Blackwater Estuary and will compare it to the River Blackwater in Braintree after the Easter holidays (when it is hopefully drier underfoot!).
We played in the giant sandpit, saw the Thames Barges, walked along to the statue of Byrhtnoth, found the centre of the maze and played in the park (as well as enjoying chips and ice-creams in the park). This will add to our geographical understanding of the leisure activities that can be found around the estuary area and the difference between ports and resorts.
All of the children seemed to have a fantastic day and were very well behaved. Thank you so much to the parent helpers who volunteered to help on the trip, I really appreciate it!
